HPG: 148 soldiers of the Turkish army were casualties of war in the month of Oct
Kurdish Info 01.11.2008- The People's Defence Force (HPG) announced the attacks that took place and the casualties figures of the conflict for the month of October.
Accordingly, 28 operations took place and 11 air attacks were carried out in the areas of Zap, Zagros, Xakurke and Xinere.During these operations there were 31 armed clashes and 23 attacks were carried out by HPG. In these clashes 148 soldiers died and 18 guerrillas lost their lives.

Young man with learning difficulties gets bullets instead of bread
Kurdish Info 01.11.2008-A 20 year man, with learning difficulties, was shot when he entered a Turkish army station in Diyarbakir, begging for bread. The young Kurdish man, who had not understood orders to stop was later dumped outside the Dicle Hospital, naked, after spending ten days in prison with his injuries.
Bianet-The Human Rights Association (IHD) protest the use of violence against children who take part in the activities protesting the bad treatment against Abdullah Öcalan, imprisoned leader of the PKK.
