Peace in Kurdistan Campaign-At its Annual General Meeting held on 25 October in Aberystwyth Cymdeithas yr Iaith Gymraeg (The Welsh Language Society) expressed its solidarity with the non-violent struggle to secure full language rights for the Kurdish people in Turkey.The motion was proposed by Dafydd Morgan Lewis the society’s Administrative Officer and seconded by Hywel Williams, Member of Parliament for Caernarfon (Plaid Cymru-The Party of Wales).

Report: Turkey Must Improve Rights Record to Join EU
Deutsche Welle-Turkey has a lot in its favor, but the country still has much work to do on political and human rights if it wants to join the European Union, the European Commission said.In its annual report card on membership readiness, the European Commission, the EU's executive body, said Turkey has proven itself to be a reliable international partner and a key energy transit route.
