DTP presents plan for solution of Kurdish problem
TZ Habip Guler 30.10.2008-Turkey's biggest Kurdish party, the Democratic Society Party (DTP), has collected its proposals for a solution to the long-standing Kurdish problem in a book. The 64-page book, available in Kurdish and English in addition to Turkish, was sent to Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and all ministers and deputies on Oct. 23. The book is a compilation of the "Political Attitude Document," which was announced in a November 2007 DTP convention and foresees autonomy for Kurds living in Turkey. It provides answers to the question "What do Kurds want?"

Prosecutor's office prepares brief to lift DTP leader's immunity
Zaman 29.10.2008-The Diyarbakir Prosecutor's Office is preparing to request that the parliamentary immunity granted to pro-Kurdish Democratic Society Party (DTP) Chairman Ahmet Türk be lifted over charges that he disseminated the propaganda of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), the Anatolia news agency reported yesterday.
